$250 and more for this controller absolutely outrageous. I've bought two Logitech Momo Force wheel controllers and they are really great. Many other places like Best Buy, Frys, etc, have it for $73 to $100.The next step up is the Logitech G25 wheel and can be found for $200 or less.Do a little shopping around before purchasing one, should never have to pay more than $100 for one.I do highly recommend this controller. I've never paid more that $100 for one, the last one I ordered online from WalMart and paid $82.00. Easy to use and configure, can be used with or without the force feedback, which is how I use it. Just disconnect the power supply to it.My real complaint is the prices I seen on Amazon for it.
The pedals you can feel in your foot, they have a little spring back to them. Easy to set up, hook up, and it has good response in the game. Its been a while since I used a steering wheel for a game. This one is nice compared to what I have used in the past.
Nice feedback wheel, software works well with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.Way better than dealing with a 'gamepad'.
I found the Momo right away and knowing that logitech is a very reputable brand, i ran with it. If your turned off by the lack of H pattern shifters or a clutch then look toward the 300 dollar price range for a Fanatec or a G25. Truth Be told though i have not seen any better really.Overall 9/10This wheel comes ready to use and is fully custimizable to the user. First off the 270 degrees of rotation is a turn off to many sim racers. I dont find myself using it too often for its placement is far too close to the wheel. The full range of options this wheel gives is simplistic yet fitting.
Its very sturdy for a plastic controller and has a comfortable feel. The Logitech Momo Racing Wheel is a very high quality item behind a very low price point. As a sim racer myself, and a relatively new one at that, i found myself looking for the perfect wheel for my budget a few months back. The sequential shifter can be placed left of right and has a solid clicky feel to it.
I can see them being an issue for someone with smaller hands. Paddle shifters are easy to reach with bear hands like mine. They do offer a slip resistence for both carpet (with spike board that pops in and out) and solid floors with rubber feet. Perfect for the beginner or the budget minded pro to hit the track and start racing.
It is fully custimizable and gives the user complete control of feel.Software - 7/10The software is very simplistic and not very impressive. The simple fact is that for under 250 bucks your not going to do any better. All in all the Wheel functions just fine.Force Feedback - 9/10Force feedback on this wheel is nothing short of incredible. We only have a few options in the 50 to 150 dollar price range.
The Pedals are very basic and my least favorite part of this product. The buttons can be programmed to your liking and have a nice solid clicky feel. So lets go into specifics.Functionality - 9/10This wheel has 270 degrees of rotation, 6 face buttons, paddle shifters, moveable sequential shifter, and a pedal board with throttle and brake. It functions just fine in every sim ive raced (which is most all of them).
my last wheel had no pedals, trying to steer with one hand on a keyboard was a real pain makes racing fun.
